Prior to real estate Dan was the Vice President of Marketing for a Global Manufacturing Company. He was responsible for sales in Hawaii, Florida, Canada, Asia, South Pacific and Caribbean. Prior to that Dan worked for 8 years at Servco Pacific Inc., in the Automotive Division as Assistant Vice President of Promotions & Marketing and later held various Sales Management positions.
During the past 11 years in Real estate, Dan has built his platform around education and client advocacy. He has spoken at over 500 venues locally and around the country. The one thing that has made Dan stand out above the other 5,500+ agents on Oahu is his expertise in the Senior market as well as the Luxury market. Dan is a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, Senior Real Estate Specialists and is CAPS certified (Certified Aging in Place Specialist). In 2014, Dan was recognized by the National Association of Realtors with the Senior Real Estate Specialist "Outstanding Service Award" for his outstanding contribution and service in the Senior Market.
Dan created The Complete Solution for Seniors; which is made up of a family of businesses offering a continuum of services needed for the aging adult. The Ihara Team provides a Free Consultation and Placement Service to help the aging adult and their family determine their senior living options. Once sellers decide to sell The Ihara Team Listing Team steps in as a Full Service Concierge. This service includes coordinating trusted vendors, obtaining estimates, managing the work to be done, coordinate staging and cleaning then manage professional photography and videos. In 2010 Dan and Julie started Senior Move Managers and De-Clutter Hawaii which assists clients in the transition to the new living environment and/or making adjustments to the current home or moving to a new home. They also developed HI Property Management to keep the house and rent it out.
Dan is a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist and has extensive experience in helping home-owners and investors buy and sell high end homes in Hawaii. Since joining Keller Williams in 2013, The Ihara Team more than doubled their business from $28million to $68million in just 3 years. Dan attributes this success to the Keller Williams systems, models, training and leadership and feels blessed that God has led him on this path to such a wonderful company.
Dan has been in the Top 100 Realtors in Hawaii for the last 9 years and is currently ranked #4 in the State. Dan has developed teams in Washington State and California with eyes to grow multiple businesses in California as well as Maui. Dan is also a member of Gary Keller's Private Mastermind Group where the Top 100 realtors meet 4 times a year to mastermind best practices. Dan is also a MAPS Coach and coaches 4 agents around the country.
